Contract Manager

Up to £595 per day inside IR35

Hybrid – London

240 Working Days

We are looking for a Contract Manager to join our government client. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week on-site in Westminster, London, while the rest of the week can be worked remotely. On-site work will be scheduled between Monday and Thursday, with Fridays designated for remote work.

Security Clearance: Security Check (SC)

This position falls under IR35 regulations. Consequently, it will be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile/Responsibilities:

  • Possess extensive knowledge of Contract Management, resulting in exceptional value for money and favorable commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrate the implementation of the latest Procurement Management methodology and a keen awareness of current Procurement market trends.
  • Exhibit a track record of influencing senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Show evidence of identifying process improvements and effectively managing changes that yield positive commercial outcomes.
  • Display strong leadership skills, including successful team leadership or project management experience.
  • Deliver complex commercial solutions within a contract management context.
  • Operate within a project or program environment.
  • Proactively manage risks and issues.
  • Have experience working with multidisciplinary project teams and subject matter experts to develop requirements and contract documents, with the ability to critically evaluate contractual documentation.
  • Possess working knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., EU regulations, Government Accounting, and commercial best practices).
  • Work independently as part of a decentralized commercial procurement team, influencing, collaborating with, and managing external stakeholders and internal customers.
  • Lead the procurement of goods and services for the client, ensuring value for money, compliance with procurement laws, and adherence to best commercial and procurement practices.
  • Influence business strategy to achieve optimal commercial results.
  • Manage risks and maintain effective stakeholder management.
  • Provide contract management services as needed.
  • Foster innovation in planning and maintain a robust performance management system.
